Successfull cross-fertilization workshop

On the 23rd January 2015, partners of DESTRIERO organized and held a cross fertilization workshop. Seven security European research related projects discussed and exchanged views, knowledge and understanding of the Community of Users initiative.

community (1)The workshop focused on 3 key areas – Standardisation, CBRN-e and Crisis Management – which were addressed by participants representing the following projects:

  • COBACORE (Grant Agreement no. 313308)
  • CRISP (Grant Agreement no. 607941).
  • DESTRIERO (Grant Agreement no. 312721).
  • EDEN (Grant Agreement no. 313037).
  • EPISECC (Grant Agreement no. 607078).
  • SECTOR (Grant Agreement no. 607821).
  • S-HELP (Grant Agreement no. 607865).

Philippe Quevauviller (DGHome), who is heading up the CoU initiative (launched in Brussels on November 24 and 25) looked on our initiative in a strong and most welcomed manner, since “it shows a real willingness to build up synergies and think out of the box”. The various comments received on the draft document will be consolidated in an integrated version to be published by the Commission in the next weeks.

Here you can find the complete report of the cross fertilization workshop, written by Tom Saadian (DESTRIERO, SECTOR) and Stephen M. Purcell (COBACORE, S-HELP)
